Here is today's Top 5 music stories:

5. VIC MENSA ANONYMOUS

Last week, for the first time in three years, Vic Mensa dropped a complete project, There's Alot Going On. THe seven-track tape kicked off with a bang, receiving high praise from the God himself, Kanye West. West loved the video Mensa released for the title track. The self-directed video, shot alongside Jake Osmun, features a shirtless Mensa in front of a black and white backdrop. West said the video was creative via Twitter. In the video he talks about his struggles with drug abuse and suicide, but it is his recent freestyle that has people talking today. During a promotional press run in New York City Mensa stopped by Hot 97 and drops bars over Pusha T and Jay Z's recent joint single "Drug Dealers Anonymous." Kanye's G.O.O.D. Music and Jay Z's Roc Nation were both said to be in a bidding war over Mensa. Hopefully these bars explain why.

4. NEW JAMES FAUNTLEROY

From writing for artists like Rihanna and Justin Timberlake to contributing vocals for artists like Kanye West and Common, James Fauntleroy is probably an artist most people do not know, but they should. His highly sought after talent  has landed him on tracks like Drake's, "Girls Love Beyonce" and Chris Brown's, "Take You Down," along with appearances on Big Sean's Hall of Fame album and J Cole's Born Sinner album. Still Fauntleroy often makes music for himself as well. 3. NELLY FURTADO X CALVIN HARRIS

Remember Nelly Furtado? If not, she gives listeners a reason to now. Years back Furtado did a cover of Calvin Harris', "So Close," for a radio show. Well, this time around she gives the song its proper due in a studio setting. She explains why:

I originally did a live version of this Calvin Harris' cover FEEL SO CLOSE at a radio station in 2012 which was posted on YOUTUBE. I decided recently to record my own version in the studio and post it exclusively on SPOTIFY so that music fans can enjoy streaming it. I chose SPOTIFY for this as they are very artist friendly and compensate musicians well for their art. I know some people have been using this as a "first dance" wedding song, and summer is here, so enjoy!

To top it all off Justin Bieber's cover of a recent Drake number one hit also debuted on OVO Sound Radio. Take a listen.
