This week's #WORKCRUSHWEDNESDAY goes out to Kelly Shami for Legs New York. Legs New York is the studio of Kelly, a New York City based creative. Her creations include, amongst many other things, visual art and jewelry designs.

At the early age of twelve, Kelly worked at her father’s jewelry shop in New York City’s infamous Diamond District on 47th street. She learned to craft together pieces and work as a salesperson. She later attended the School of Visual Arts for graphic design & continued to pursue a career in design with numerous editorial publications & clients.  Never being able to stray away from jewelry, she created the line, @KellyShamiNYC, combining  her personal style & from living in the world's greatest city.

After only a year in the making, the brand evolved in a cult like manner by those who want covetable jewelry with a little bit of a spin.  Collaborating with brands like Nylon Magazine, The Fancy, Urban Outfitters and many more, the brand continues to grow. Kelly's jewelry includes eclectic rings and necklaces, engraved with words and phrases from urban pop culture. The brands aesthetic is to always remain a bit aggressive with a good amount of finesse, while still embracing the female power.

Previously, Kelly served as the Art Director at NYLON Magazine for four years. Currently when she is not sketching or traveling, Kelly can be found managing the design aspects at Parkwood Entertainment. Her work has been recognized by the likes of ADC, TDC and Graphis. Additionally, Kelly is well versed in the medium, watercolor and all pieces are for sale.
