Snapchat to Begin Putting Ads Between Stories

According to Digiday, Snapchat will start placing ads from various companies between your friends’ Snapchat stories in order to increase revenue. The app gets 10 billion video views per day, and while the part of Snapchat that features content from companies, Discovery, receives a portion of these views, the personal section of Snapchat is the driver for the majority of these 10 billion video views. In a statement, the company said that these ads could be skipped after a user watched a certain number of friends’ Stories in a row, and would only appear after the duration of a Snap Story.
