Five top members of the U.S. Women's National soccer team will file a federal wage complaint alleging pay discrimination against the U.S. Soccer Federation (USSF) with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC). The women's soccer team is earning as little as 40% of what men make. Although, the women's team generated nearly $20 million more revenue last year than the U.S. men's team. Many players are becoming very vocal about the wage discrimination and people from all around the world are in solidarity, including, presidential candidate Hillary Clinton and Landon Donovan. THE U.S. WOMEN'S SOCCER TEAM ISN'T RECEIVING EQUAL PAY

POLITICS:

The two political party front-runners cannot seem to, in soccer terms, park the bus. Despite substantial leads, Hilary Clinton and Donald Trump are starting to stumble. When most thought they would be picking running mates by now, they are merely trying to hold on to, at one point, insurmountable leads. Both lost most recently in Wisconsin. While this was a minor loss for Trump, this was the sixth defeat out of seven for Clinton. In the words of Howard Kurtz of Fox News, "Trump mostly wings it; Clinton speaks in position-paper paragraphs." Nonetheless, the have the same issue; WOMEN. Trump and Clinton are both having trouble winning over women. I guess we're finding out who truly runs the world.

TECH:

Tech company and mobile payment giant, PayPal, scraps its plan to open a new operation center in North Carolina. This comes after North Carolina passed the Public Facilities Privacy & Security Act, a law that excludes LGBT's from discrimination protection amongst other misfortunes. “The new law perpetuates discrimination and it violates the values and principles that are at the core of PayPal’s mission and culture,” PayPal President and CEO, Dan Schulman, said in a statement. “As a result, PayPal will not move forward with our planned expansion into Charlotte.”
