Enjoy Greek food? Check out this weeks MITD Eats Restaurant. Kapnos is a modern Greek restaurant located on the 14th street corridor. Chef Mike Isabella opened Kapnos DC in July of 2013, drawing inspiration from travels to Greece to create a small-plate menu featuring spreads, breads, vegetables, and roasted meats. Kapnos is known for their two wood-fire grills with rotating spits and a large oven for stone-baked flat breads. Having a fully-stocked bar, Kapnos serves a variety of hand-crafted cocktails, kegged lemonades, house-made sodas and ice-teas, and a nice selection of beers and wine. MUSIC:

The second weekend of Coachella was filled with surprise performances and dedications to the late and greatest Prince. From performances by Ellie Goulding to "When Doves Cry" and Sufjan Stevens and Gallant "Purple Rain" inspired performance that brought that house down. Even Coachella honored Prince by playing his cover of Radiohead's "Creep" from back in 2008, which was of course an epic festival moment in itself. Learn about more of the surprise performances at: HIGHLIGHTS OF COACHELLA WEEKEND TWO

SPORTS:

This past week saw three of the biggest components of this year's NBA playoff teams go down with injuries. Little guys, Isaiah Thomas, Steph Curry and Chris Paul all fell victim to injuries, with each being worse than the guy proceeding them. Thomas is day-to-day with an ankle injury, Curry will miss, at least, two weeks with a sprained right MCL and Paul will miss the remainder of the NBA playoffs with a right hand fracture. The Clippers received the double whammy with Blake Griffin also being ruled out for the rest of the playoffs when he aggravated his left quadricep in the same game as Paul's injury. The injuries seem like more bad luck for the other team from LA, but help, the NBA favorite, Golden State Warriors' chances to overcome the loss of their superstar, Curry, for a few weeks. Things may get interesting.

ART:

Georgetown's Annual French Market returns to the charming Book Hill neighborhood featuring fashion, French fare, quaint home and antique shops, galleries and live music. STYLE:

Varnish Lane is a waterless luxury nail care salon that uses all locally made all-natural products. Varnish Lane's manicure and pedicures are done without soaking hands or feet in water, instead using a series of creams, sprays, and by wrapping hands and feet in hot towels. Mom & daughter owners Carolyn & Lauren, and their partner Charles Stebbins, claim waterless nail care is the future and beneficial because there is less risk for infection, its eco-friendly saving 10gallons of water per nail service, and it prevents chipping.

POLITICS:

It may be time to call it quits for Bernie Sanders. Hilary Clinton built a nearly insurmountable lead, after taking four out of five Eastern primaries. Clinton won in Connecticut, Delaware, Pennsylvania and Maryland. While Sanders took Rhode Island. In her victory, Clinton seemed to no longer be focusing on the Democratic contest, but rather keen on urging Sanders supporters to aid her in the party's larger goal of defeating a tough Republican candidate. “Whether you support Sen. Sanders or support me, there is much more that unites us than divides us,” said Clinton. She now has 90% of the 2,383 delegates needed to capture the Democratic nomination.
