THE QUEST FOR THE NBA CHAMPIONSHIP IS UNDERWAY

The NBA regular season is over and the field has been set. which can only mean one thing. It's time to get for ready for the playoffs. It all began Saturday with four games with the Raptors hosting Indiana where the Pacers, lead by Paul George's 33 points, stole Game 1 at Toronto. Houston got the short end of the stick with their first round opponents, the defending champs Warriors who started their quest to a promising second straight title with a twenty-six point win in their Game 1 victory. Kevin Durant makes his first return to the playoff since his season ending injury back in 2014, scoring 24 points and snatching 5 rebounds as the OKC routed the Mavericks. The Cavaliers took to the hardwood tonight for their Game 1 game against the Detroit Pistons. Though the Game was close for majority of it, the Cavs pulled away and took Game 1. The first round continues this Monday on NBATV with the first set of game two's, starting with the Pacers and Raptors.

CAPITALS DEFEAT FLYERS, TAKE 2-0 SERIES LEAD

Behind goalie Holtby's 41 saves, the hometown Washington Capitals were able to beat the Flyers 4-1 in Game 2 Saturday night to take a 2-0 series lead. The Flyers pushed hard right away and generated some good chances in the early minutes. The Capitals went without a shot on goal for the first six minutes of the game. The Flyers outshot the Capitals 42-23 and dominated for much of the game but like always, the Caps were able to provide instant offense. The series shifts to Philadelphia for Game 3 on Monday night.
