Texts From Last Night

The past few days Twitter has been in a whirlwind due to a love saga between Grammy nominated singer, Kehlani, her "boyfriend," NBA all-star Kyrie Irving and her ex-boyfriend, OVO artist, PARTYNEXTDOOR. It all started when PARTYNEXTDOOR posted a picture on Instagram of Kehlani's tattooed hand with the caption, "After all her shenanigans, still got the R&B singer back in my bed." Since then, Kehlani has deactivated and activated her Instagram multiple times. One of those times was to post a picture of her in the hospital, allegedly, after attempting to commit suicide from all the accusations of infidelity. The jokes have been flying on Twitter saying things like "Kyrie is number 2 on and off the court." Most recently Chris Brown, friend of Irving, chimed in saying, "There is no attempting suicide." He went on to say it was all for sympathy. For more check out the hashtags #PrayForKyrie and #StayStrongKehlani

Dvsn’s new album Sept. 5th has just been recently released this week on iTunes, a week earlier than expected. Dvsn is a mysterious R&B act that has been signed with Drake’s label, OVO. Nonetheless, the album Sept. 5th is getting numerous positive feedback and has even been claimed to be the best R&B album to come out this year so far; some sources saying the best R&B album since Bryon Tiller’s T R A P S O U L. Download the album now available on iTunes and let us know what you think! DVSN'S NEW ALBUM: SEPT. 5TH

While not the Final Four we pictured, we cannot complain about what we have been given. The Final Four was set after Sunday's double header; Syracuse upsetting No. 1 Virginia and UNC defeating a Notre Dame team who were slightly favored to win. A chance to play for the National Championship will resume this Saturday with Villanova facing off against Oklahoma and the UNC Tarheels taking on Syracuse. Narcissus Quagliata’s mural on the Discovery Communications Headquarters Building is equal parts extraterrestrial, celestial, and just plain wavy. The exact same can be said of the sounds being produced by Maryland native, Lance Neptune. Just back from SXSW, Neptune was in high spirits with stories aplenty; finessing his crew into the Earl Sweatshirt showcase, for example. When asked if the SXSW experience was worth it, the beat-maker quickly replied, “Yeah, definitely. If you go there with the right attitude, it’s worth it.” To read more of the interview and to see an artist pictured before art check out: ARTIST TO WATCH: LANCE NEPTUNE

Recently in a puff piece on Fox News, former NFL quarterback, Tim Tebow said running for office would be "intriguing." This was based on the premise that if there was a possibility he could, "make a difference." Although Tebow seemed less enthusiastic than Fox News Channel’s Ainsley Earhardt, who asked the initial question of Tebow, many stories have popped up today on the matter. With no forseeable football in the future, who knows?

Just as we warned weeks ago, Instagram has recently adapted to a non-chronological newsfeed order, similar to Facebook. Instead of post appearing in a familiar linear order, the new algorithm will weigh in a variety of social signs. Your post will appear according to previous content you liked before in an attempt to sort images in the order of "relevancy" or what Instagram thinks interest you the most. The update has caused various complaints. It went as far as to prompt a petition on Change.org asking Instagram to leave its chronological feed alone. "TURN ME ON" NEW INSTAGRAM ALGORITHM
