Streetwear meets menswear with DC clothing brand Durkl, founded in 2005 by native Washingtonian Will Sharp.
The local brand quickly expanded from Sharp's humble beginnings of selling t-shirts and hats to now producing a variety of menswear, including button downs, graphic tees, socks and sweatshirts. The DC-based retailer features a mix of reworked basics and pops of color and over-the-top patterns, with highlights including the Barton Windbreaker, the Pajama Long Sleeve Button Down and the Atlas Camper Hat.
DURKL's flagship store comes in the form of the a retail space that also houses a restaurant, cafe and bar--H Street's Maketto, founded with Toki Underground owner Erik Bruner-Yang. You can shop the brand at Maketto (1351 H St., NE), in boutiques worldwide or online at its webshop.
