It seems Macklemore has been fighting to stay relevant since his last album, "The Heist," which won a Grammy for Best Rap Album in 2013--over Kendrick Lamar's "good kid, M.A.A.D city." The "Same Love" rapper hasn't had a major hit since.
However, last week Macklemore broke his creative silence and released the second installment of his song, "White Privilege." The track attempted to address the abrasive racial relations currently going on in the U.S. and also how he has wrongly benefited in society due to the pigmentation of his skin.
The track clocks in just under nine minutes and it is features a very honest and introspective Macklemore. However, the track was not well received by several music blogs. What are your thoughts? Check out the track here on iTunes.
