On Thursday, CNBC announced that it would be hosting NBA superstar Lebron James' new show Cleveland Hustles. The show will follow James and his long-time friend and business partner, Maverick Carter, as they try to revitalize struggling small businesses in Cleveland, OH. The show is set to air this summer.
James and Carter launched their own marketing company, LRMR, several years ago--since then it has garnered much success. In addition, in July of last year, the duo launched Uninterrupted, a media outlet for athletes, which received investment dollars totaling just under $16 million, from Warner Bros. Entertainment and Turner Sports.
Thereby, James and Carter wanted to impart their entrepreneur success to businesses in their hometown. The King is definitely a man of the people.
