This past weekend, Canadian indie folk rock artist City and Colour (also known as Dallas Green) stopped at Echostage as part of his winter tour. He performed songs spanning multiple albums to a pretty packed house. Crowd favorites such as “Hello, I’m In Delaware,” “Grand Optimist,” and brand new “If I Should Go Before You,” kept everyone engaged.

City and Colour has been in the game for a decade now, having released five albums since his career began. While the first two albums earned him multiple Canadian Juno Awards (the Canadian version of The Grammy’s), his third studio release Little Hell is what put him on the radar of listeners here in the U.S. His honest, personal style of singing and songwriting has made him a major player in the folk arena. City and Colour will continue on to the Southern leg of his tour, stopping in cities like Memphis, Birmingham, and (his namesake) Dallas. He won’t be returning to the DMV during this run, but it’s definitely a show to catch the next time around.
