The second-longest win streak in NBA history came to an end Saturday with the Golden State Warriors' loss to the Milwaukee Bucks, 108-95.
The Warriors won 24 games this season and 28 games straight, including the four consecutive wins in the 2015 NBA Finals against the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Bucks center Greg Monroe hit the road-weary Warriors with 28 points. Warriors point guard and "Splash Brother" Steph Curry scored 28 and forward Draymond Green ended the game with 24 points.
Curry and the Warriors took the No. 2 spot from the Miami Heat, whose record was 27 straight wins during the 2012-2013 season. Golden State was looking to take the No. 1 spot from the Los Angeles Lakers, who won 33 games in a row and whose streak in the 1971-1972 season was also ended by the Bucks, 120-104.
Golden State, 24-1, meets Milwaukee, 10-15, again on Friday at home at 10:30 p.m.
The Warriors play the Phoenix Suns next on Wednesday at 10:30 p.m. in the Oracle Arena.
