If the third time is the charm, D.C. sports teams must be pretty charming. Washington's football team, the Washington Wizards and the Washington Capitals all lost their games this week.
Two D.C. squads lost to teams from Texas at home: Washington's football team lost Monday to the Dallas Cowboys, 19-16, and the Wizards lost Wednesday to the Houston Rockets, 109-103.
Washington's football team is now 5-7 at the end of week 13, and the Wizards are 11th in the Eastern Conference at 9 wins and 11 losses.
While the Wizards won one game this week in Miami against the Heat on Monday, 114-103, the Caps couldn't manage to beat the Florida Panthers Thursday just a few miles away, with a final score of 4-1.
Washington's football team plays the Chicago Bears Sunday on Soldier Field at 1 p.m. The Wizards play the New Orleans Pelicans Friday at 8 p.m. in the Smoothie King Center. The Caps play the Tampa Bay Lightning Saturday at the Amalie Arena at 7 p.m.
