If you love the holiday season, D.C.'s very own Mockingbird Hill will be your preferred destination in December. Beginning Dec. 1 and running through Christmas Eve, the Shaw sherry bar will be transformed into Miracle on Seventh Street.
Home to seasonal cocktails, holiday movies, carolers and weekly ugly sweater parties, the bar's atmosphere will be all Christmas all the time. The Christmas themes will be accompanied by a soundtrack of punk, ska and '80s seasonal music.
Mockingbird Hill's Miracle on Seventh Street will host reoccurring events throughout the month of December including singers from the Gay Men's Chorus of Washington every Sunday at 9 p.m., holiday crafting sessions on Mondays from 6-8 p.m., holiday movie marathons on Tuesdays, and a "Bad Santa" happy hour on Fridays from 5-8 p.m.
The bar will feature not only an abundance of Christmas decorations and themes, but also a back room that will be turned into the Hanukkah Hangout with its own decorations and events, such as a Manischewitz pong competition. If you're looking for things to do this holiday season, be sure to stop by Miracle on Seventh Street, open at 5 p.m. daily.
