Washington teams suffer weekend losses

Both the Washington Wizards and Washington's football team suffered losses over the weekend, with the Wizards losing to the Atlanta Hawks and Washington's football team losing to the New England Patriots.

The Wizards took the L Saturday night in the Philips Arena against the Hawks, 114-99. Otto Porter had a standout game with 23 points, while John Wall put up 19 points and had 12 assists. The loss puts the Wizards at No. 8 in the Eastern Conference at 3-3.

Washington's football team lost Sunday afternoon at Gillette Stadium to the undefeated New England Patriots, 27-10. The week nine loss came after dropped passes from Washington and a tough Patriots defensive and offensive game. Washington's team is at 3-5 following this matchup. 

The Wizards play the Oklahoma City Thunder in the Verizon Center Tuesday at 7 p.m. Washington's football team goes head-to-head against the New Orleans Saints Sunday, Nov. 15 at 1 p.m. on the FedEx Field.
