Washington Wizards guard Bradley Beal hit a clutch three-pointer to win Wednesday night's game against the San Antonio Spurs, 102-99.
The Verizon Center erupted in cheers as the Wizards increased their winning record to 3-1 after Beal's three-point shot was nothing but net with 0.3 seconds left in the game.
The Spurs lost their lead in the fourth quarter, but came back to tie the game three times. Spurs point guard Tony Parker hit a three to tie to game at 99 with 7.9 seconds on the clock. Following two Wizards timeouts, John Wall got the ball off the inbound pass and Beal got the ball to sink the winning three.
Beal's clutch three was the perfect ending to his 25-point game. Wall scored 17 points, 15 of which were in the second half and 13 of which were in the fourth quarter. Wall also added 13 assists for the Wizards.
Wall and Beal entered Wednesday's contest as the league's top-scoring guard duo, and they had the Wizards' last 15 points of the game.
Otto Porter also added 19 points to the Wizards offense in the Wizards' second straight win over the Spurs since the past 17 straight wins the Spurs put up against Washington.
The Wizards play the Boston Celtics Friday night in TD Garden at 7:30 p.m.
