The "Queen of Neo-Soul" raised some eyebrows on Sunday evening at this year's Soul Train Awards. During a segment in the award show, Erykah Badu, who was hosting this year, staged phone calls from several artists to include: André 3000, Young Thug and Iggy Azalea.
Badu joked that no rap performances will be featured at the awards show, and that it would be strictly soul music. After some tongue-in-cheek humor regarding her ex André 3000 and Young Thug's indecipherable lyrics, Badu threw major shade at the Australian-born rapper.
Keeping in mind what Badu said about not having any rap performances at the award show, she proclaimed that Iggy could hypothetically come and perform because what she was doing wasn't rap. Ouch. Check out the video below.
