Sam Smith breaks our hearts once again with In The Lonely Hour re-release

As if we weren’t already in our feelings after Adele debuted her new single, her male counterpart Sam Smith also dropped some updated music. Through a re-release of his debut album In the Lonely Hour, the British troubadour added thirteen tracks to comprise a new Drowning Shadows Edition. Some stand-out tracks include a cover of Amy Winehouse’s “Love Is A Losing Game,” collaborations with John Legend and Mary J. Blige, and his most heartbreaking song to date, “Drowning Shadows.” Despite his melancholic lyrics, Smith’s unique and powerful voice continues to make him a key player in the pop-ballad arena. He filled Merriweather Post Pavilion this past summer and sold out U Street Music Hall the year prior — is Verizon Center next on his list?
