The uprising of fashionable individuals, models, bloggers, and designers has been giving D.C. a fashion presence. Made in the District is proud to release a street style feature showcasing fashionable men and women in D.C.

4. In one word, how would you describe your style? - Relevant

5. How long does it take you to get ready in the morning? - Haha not long at all really, what i wear depends on what the day involves and the weather.

6. Who was your first style icon? - couldn't really pick one in particular but Pharrell put a lot of us who grew up in VA during N.E.R.D and early Clipse days onto this style and fashion.

9. What is your favorite fashion trend of all time? - Skateboarding, I've always been surrounded by it and have spent time working in different [skateboard] shops. That type of street style always stuck with me, which carried over into SB's, then BAPE and so forth. You can still see it on the runway now real heavy. It's affected a lot of people. Pretty cliche but still.

10. Do you have any specific goals for the rest of this year?  Releasing first collections graphic tee series at our OUTLAW™ 'service center' installations in DC and then a full collection at our NYC 'service center' space.

7. Anything to say about the DC Fashion Scene? I strongly feel like the DC fashion scene is slept on. DC is more than just the White House, Cherry Blossoms, Lincoln Memorial; DC has its own culture when it comes to fashion. It’s a mixture of different trends from details, colors to how it’s worn.

8. What is the last clothing or accessory item you purchased? Nike Air Uptempo (Black/White)

9. What is your favorite fashion trend of all time? 90’s baby!

10. Do you have any specific goals for the rest of this year? My goal for the rest of the year is to continue to grind with modeling and be signed to a well-known agency whether it’s on the west coast or east coast. I know the Man upstairs will bless me as long as I’m patient and most importantly have faith in Him.

6. Who was your first style icon? My friend, Bethany Carter.  She's the wife of NFL player, Andre Carter, and I had the pleasure of meeting her and her beautiful family in 2008.  She took the runway trends and made them wearable.  She showed me true street style.

7. Anything to say about the DC Fashion Scene? DC fashion now is more than just business professional.  The street style has progressed so much in the past several years, it has become effortless and chic and the growing DC blogger scene, I feel, is a huge contributor to that.

8. What is the last clothing or accessory item you purchased? A blush velvet J. Crew blazer

9. What is your favorite fashion trend of all time? Distressed jeans.  So versatile!

4. In one word, how would you describe your style? Comfortable.

5. How long does it take you to get ready in the morning? About 40 minutes (most of it going towards taming my hair).

6. Who was your first style icon? Marilyn Monroe. It might be a little out there, but she had such unique and glamorous style that is prevalent in fashion now more than ever. Her sometimes sultry style is applicable today and can be seen in wearing lace bralettes or a LBD.

7. Anything to say about the DC Fashion Scene? The city itself has progressed and developed so much, and the fashion scene has with it. Through a simple stroll through Georgetown, it's evident how much the street style and fashion scene has reached an all time high throughout DC.

8. What is the last clothing or accessory item you purchased? Red velvet platform sneakers from Zara.

9. What is your favorite fashion trend of all time? Platform shoes (not only because it gives me that extra 3 inch boost that I really need) but because it's a small staple that adds a bold statement to any outfit.

10. Do you have any specific goals for the rest of this year? To grow and strengthen our brand and presence in the D.C. fashion scene. We're upgrading our blog to bring our readers more super cool features and surprises, and we look forward to sharing it with everyone soon!
